Rooms above the bar

Valiant Pub Company runs traditional pubs with rooms across England: the Old Ship Inn in Weymouth, the Pennine Inn in Kirkby Stephen, the Gaskell Arms in Much Wenlock, the Derwent Arms in County Durham, the Keelman in Newcastle and many more. Most have only a handful of rooms, some as few as seven, and a central team prices all of them.

That makes pricing a group problem. A small team can't watch demand at every pub, every day. Valiant needed a system that could price every pub on its own demand and push those prices to the booking sites automatically.

‍

Rolled out pub by pub

Valiant brought its first pubs onto Pricepoint in June 2025 and added more through the summer and autumn. Each pub connects through SiteMinder and Little Hotelier, which means an agreement with SiteMinder for every new site. When one of those agreements took weeks to arrive, Pricepoint's team worked directly with SiteMinder to move it along, and followed up until prices were updating correctly on the pub's booking engine and Booking.com.

The group has kept adding pubs: the Coaching Inn, the Oak House in Axbridge, the Griffin Inn and the George & Dragon joined in 2026, with another being onboarded now.

Built for a group

As the group grows, so does what it needs from Pricepoint. Valiant has a dedicated account manager, and is among the first customers with early access to Pricepoint's new tools: portfolio analytics that show every pub side by side, an AI Assistant that answers questions about pickup and revenue across properties, and Event Intelligence, which updates prices around the clock as demand changes.

‍

What's next

Valiant is reviewing prices across its room types for the autumn, with Pricepoint applying the changes and monitoring the impact on bookings, and a UK-based account manager is joining to support the group locally.
